IPL 2025 Playoff Chances: CSK, SRH, MI Need Miracle

The IPL 2025 season is hitting fever pitch. The playoff race has entered its most thrilling phase. With just a few weeks left before the league stage wraps up, the pressure is at boiling point. Every match now feels like a final.

Gujarat Titans (GT) are leading the charge with an 88% chance of qualifying. They have six wins from eight matches and a stellar net run rate of +1.104. Shubman Gill’s side looks unstoppable.

Players like Sai Sudharsan and Prasidh Krishna have been clutch performers. GT now needs just two more wins to virtually seal a playoff berth.

Hot on their heels are the Delhi Capitals (DC), boasting an 86% chance under Axar Patel’s calm leadership.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) aren’t far behind either. Led by Rajat Patidar’s fearless captaincy, they have clawed back to a strong 78% chance. Their comeback is powered by a lethal death bowling attack.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) round out the top four with a 53% probability. They are relying on Shreyas Iyer’s aggressive approach and a favorable home stretch at Dharamsala.

Mumbai Indians (MI) are walking a tightrope at 50%. They must win at least four of their last six games to stay alive. Lucknow SuperGiants (LSG), under Rishabh Pant’s leadership, have a 32% shot. They need a late surge to stay in the hunt.

Meanwhile, defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are almost out. They are hanging by a thread with just an 11% chance and now need nothing short of a miracle.

As for the rest, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Rajasthan Royals (RR), and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are virtually out of contention.

They are sitting with grim qualification odds of 2%, 0.1%, and a heartbreaking 0.02% respectively. All three teams have endured disappointing campaigns.

The league stage concludes on May 18. Hyderabad will host the Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator.

Kolkata will stage Qualifier 2 and the grand final on May 25. Fans can expect fireworks, heartbreaks, and unforgettable drama as the IPL 2025 race reaches its climax.
