As we had reported multiple times in the recent past, Sunrisers Hyderabad is the most destructive team in the ongoing edition of IPL. The kind of batting destruction that Hyderabad is creating is absolutely terrorising other IPL teams.
In particular, the humongous opening partnerships between Travis head, and Abhishek Sharma is beyond any calculation and measure.
On top of that, we have a super strong middle order in the form of Nitish Kumar Reddy, Heinrich Klaasen, Ishan Kishan and others.
No other team in the IPL is as strong in the batting department as Sunrisers Hyderabad and this is a fact. The numbers speak for themselves as Hyderabad got off to a mega 286 run opening in the first match.
The first mistake that teams are making against Hyderabad is putting them to bat first after winning the toss. This is absolutely the worst thing that can happen for any team against Hyderabad.
Considering the kind of fire that Hyderabad has the better option is for other teams to bat first and try to put up a huge score. Subsequently, they add some sort of minor pressure on Hyderabad with scorecard apprehension.
This is perhaps when Hyderabad could make a mistake or two while chasing big targets. So the better option is for teams to bat first against Hyderabad and try and exert some pressure in the second innings.
Another thing that other teams could possibly contemplate is that they could ask their pitch curators to come up with bowling pitches in order to contain the batting fire power of Hyderabad. Considering the kind of destruction that is being created by the SRH side, it should not be too long before other teams resort to this tactic.
