IPL Canceled? Shocking Move After Op Sindoor

The Indian Premier League is going in full swing, nearing the end of its 18th season.

While many cricket fans would want the league to continue without any hiccups, rising tensions between India and Pakistan, with the increasing possibility of an all-out war after ‘Operation Sindoor’, have brought clouds of uncertainty to it.

While sources have revealed that the DC vs Punjab Kings game will proceed as per schedule, some changes may occur in the MI vs PBKS game in Dharamsala.

A majority of Indians have overwhelmingly come forward in support of totally cancelling the IPL in case they have to choose between entertainment and national security.

Several comments on social media platforms show angry Indians asking for the league to be scrapped so that all of the nation’s attention can shift towards the Indo-Pak conflict.

Many TV channels have joined in on the heightened sentiments, showing Virat Kohli’s crucial innings against Pakistan in the 2022 T20 World Cup.

With emotions of patriotism at an all-time high, it will be interesting to see if the BCCI actually comes forward to take a bold decision on the future of the IPL for this season.
