Sunrisers Hyderabad put on a clinical performance in the game against Punjab last night and this is one of the more important wins for the side in this year’s tournament. Incidentally, SRH fans realized two dreams in this one game, and here’s how.
Firstly, SRH fans have always been waiting for a locally grown talent to get a place in the side and perform well. This was fulfilled by Nitish Reddy who played an exceptional knock under pressure last night.
Notably, SRH hadn’t won a single away game in the tournament till yesterday and this was ticked off as the Hyderabad side managed to beat Punjab last night in a close encounter.
This way, SRH has ticked two boxes – seeing a local player perform, and also win an away game last night.
As mentioned earlier, SRH could well be the team to beat this year as they have already taken down the most successful sides in the history of the tournament Mumbai and Chennai already. The real deal will be to carry forward this positive momentum.
SRH currently stands in the 5th position on the table and is the firm favorite to qualify for playoffs and one of the well-backed favorites to even lift the trophy this year.
