What started off as a social media rumor is slowly turning into serious news as there are new updates that Mumbai Indians superstar Rohit Sharma could be joining RCB soon.
There are reports that Rohit is bound to leave Mumbai this year and he is already in search for a new side.
In this context, Ravichandran Ashwin was asked to comment on the possible deal between Mumbai and Bengaluru for Rohit Sharma and he made an interesting comment. He said the deal could happen if the financial matters are sorted out and Rohit gets a salary in the range of Rs 20 crore.
It is evident from Ashwin’s comment that Rohit could actually be moving to RCB for a sum of Rs 20 crore. If this really goes through, then this would be one of the biggest power moves in the history of IPL.
RCB historically haven’t had a breakthrough captain who was able to win them the trophy. And as for Rohit, he is the most successful captain in the history of IPL with 5 titles to his name.
So in case Rohit actually moves to RCB for a deal in the vicinity of Rs 20 crore then sky is the limit for RCB in the coming edition of IPL. It should be great to watch Rohit and Kohli in the same team.
