Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer has reportedly left for Dubai after completing his recovery in Australia. The move comes after a rib injury he sustained while fielding during the third ODI against Australia on 25 October 2025.
Shreyas Iyer’s Recovery Journey
Shreyas was rushed off the field in pain and treated immediately after the injury. He later spent time in the ICU before being declared stable. After completing his rest and recovery period in Australia, he decided to continue recuperating in Dubai.
Trollers Target Iyer for Taking Time Off
While most fans supported his need for rest, a section of Trollers began mocking him for staying away from India. Some even questioned his decision, saying he could “make reels in Mumbai” instead of travelling to Dubai for recovery.
Online Negativity Crosses the Line
A few online users went as far as telling Iyer to remain in Dubai permanently. Such toxic reactions reflect a deeper issue among some fans who fail to respect players’ physical and mental well-being.
Respect Players Who Give Their All
Cricketers like Iyer risk injury to perform for their country. Yet, instead of support, they often face negativity. This kind of behaviour discourages athletes and damages the spirit of the game. Fans must do better to protect and respect their players.
