No Calm for Pacers: Gill’s Aggressive IPL Plan

Shubman Gill, captain of Gujarat Titans, has revealed his strategy for fast bowlers ahead of the IPL season. Speaking at a press conference, he shared clear expectations from his pace attack as the tournament approaches.

Gill said he does not want his fast bowlers to remain calm and composed on the field. Instead, he expects them to show aggression and intensity. He referred to GT coach Ashish Nehra, known for his fiery attitude during his playing days for Team India.

Sharing his thoughts, Gill said he wants his bowlers to be fierce like Ashu pa. He also mentioned how Nehra reacted strongly even to dropped catches. His remark brought laughter among those present at the press conference.

Gill added that every bowler has a unique personality and should play accordingly. He believes that allowing players to express themselves can help maximise their contribution to the team. His approach focuses on confidence and individual strengths.

As Gill mentioned Nehra, social media users recalled the former cricketer’s on field behaviour. Many remembered his passionate reactions during matches, especially when situations did not go as planned. His intensity remains a talking point even today.

One such moment was during the 2005 ODI game against Pakistan. A dropped catch by Dhoni after Nehra was hit for a six led to a visible outburst. Nehra later expressed regret over his reaction towards MS.

With Gujarat Titans appearing confident and in good spirits, expectations are rising among fans. The captain coach duo of Gill and Nehra will look to guide the team strongly. The focus now shifts to how this approach works during the tournament.
