Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill received mixed reactions on social media after his side defeated Chennai Super Kings in Chennai. His post-match Instagram update quickly became a talking point among cricket fans.
After the match, Gill shared a photo holding a yellow whistle and wrote “Nandri Chennai.” The whistle is strongly linked with CSK’s famous “Whistle Podu” chant, making the post widely discussed online.
Some fans did not like the post and felt it was an unnecessary troll after beating CSK at Chepauk Stadium. Others said it was only a simple gesture and should not be taken seriously.
