In a major announcement from the two talismanic figures of Indian cricket Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, they will no longer be playing for the Indian T20 side. They announced their retirement immediately after winning the T20 World Cup.
Now that this announcement is made, the focus quickly shifts onto the coming crop of Indian players.
While it is all but confirmed that Hardik Pandya will be the captain of the side henceforth, the team complexion is going to be the key.
The likes of Shubham Gill, Rinku Singh, Jaiswal, Harshit Rana, and others are on the horizon for the big league and a lot will depend on how they’re utilised for the side.
For now, moving on from Rohit and Kohli is going to be the biggest challenge for the side as they’ve literally been carrying team India for the last decade or so.
