Kohli’s Disastrous Homecoming: Pulling RCB Down?

Royal Challengers Bengaluru faced one of their worst defeats yesterday in the game against PBKS.

The whole team played like they had no clue of the situation, losing 9 wickets while putting just 95 runs on the board in a 14-over game.

Virat Kohli played a superbly disastrous knock, scoring just 1 run off 3 balls while getting caught by Marco Jansen on a brilliant delivery by Arshdeep Singh.

While the team’s performance as a whole is extremely bad, a player like Virat Kohli, known to act as an anchor in such situations, turned out to be a major disappointment for not being able to read the situation despite having the so-called treasure of experience.

It seems like Virat Kohli is getting used to performing everywhere except on his own home turf in Bengaluru.

If he can’t contribute in Chinnaswamy, then maybe he should take a step back to give other players a chance to at least avoid a shameful scenario like yesterday, where avoiding the lowest score of 49 runs was considered an achievement for the team.
