MS Dhoni, despite retiring from international cricket is the biggest name associated with the IPL arena and the stakes are high on his participation for the CSK side.

When asked about Dhoni’s state of mind and his possible participation in the tournament next year, CSK had a wild statement to make.
We have approached him but he hasn’t reverted to us. As far as the meeting and other discussions related to the next IPL season are concerned, we are yet to hear from him. Once we meet, decisions will be taken, the CEO of the franchise noted.
Dhoni is expected to be retained by the CSK for coming season in the uncapped category but this is also in doubt as Dhoni isn’t in touch with the CSK side.
Age and fitness wise, Dhoni is struggling to keep pace with the current standards of the tournament. He is finding it hard to keep the wickets as he suffers from knee pain and his running has also been stagnant, which is understandable considering his age factor.
With so much pitted against dhoni, the only factor for him to keep going is fans. It has to be seen if he would go the extra mile for fans henceforth now by keeping himself fit for the next season.
