Music director Anirudh Ravichander has sparked fresh excitement for Coolie with his recent comments about the Rajinikanth–Lokesh Kanagaraj collaboration. In a viral interview, he praised Lokesh Kanagaraj as “the best director in the country” and expressed full confidence in the upcoming film.
Anirudh described Coolie as an intelligent, superbly crafted film with Lokesh kanagaraj’s trademark screenplay and powerhouse performances from legends. He emphasized that despite the absence of a teaser or trailer, the hype remains at its peak, thanks to Rajinikanth’s charisma and Lokesh’s vision. So far, only three songs and a backshot featuring five actors have been released, yet the buzz continues to skyrocket.
Fans were quick to respond online. Many said Anirudh has become one of the most trusted “reviewers,” pointing out that whenever he speaks positively about a film he is part of, it usually turns out good or at least decent, but never outright bad. This has fueled hopes that Coolie will be a blockbuster.
At the same time, some fans urged caution, warning the team not to over-hype the movie. They fear that inflated expectations could backfire if the final product doesn’t meet the massive buzz being generated.
With Coolie scheduled to release on August 14, all eyes are now on whether the Rajinikanth–Lokesh kanagaraj–Anirudh combination can deliver another Pan-India blockbuster.
