96 Part 2: Director Killing Buzz by Overhyping?

Director C Prem Kumar has confirmed that the script for 96 Part 2 is ready. In a recent interview, he said it is his best writing so far. Producer Ishari K Ganesh, impressed after hearing the script, even gifted him a gold chain.

Prem Kumar added that his friends also appreciated the script after reading it. He promised that the sequel will feature the same cast as 96 or he will not go ahead with it. This statement has now sparked mixed reactions on social media.

Some viewers feel the director is overhyping the sequel. They believe 96 was one of the finest romantic films in Kollywood and worry that a weak sequel could damage its legacy. Many fans have requested him to keep expectations low.

At the same time, others still trust Prem Kumar’s storytelling. They believe 96 Part 2 will work because of his direction. But they also caution that building excessive hype before filming even begins could set the stage for disappointment.

Fans point out that several films promoted heavily in advance ended up failing. They want 96 Part 2 to succeed organically, like the first film. As of now, there is no official update on when shooting will begin or when it will release.
