As part of Coolie’s promotions, Lokesh Kanagaraj is giving interviews to popular YouTube channels. In a recent interview, he opened up about his idea of directing a cop movie, which has since gone viral.
He stated that he wants to direct a cop film, as it has been a long time since a truly impactful cop film, like Kaakha Kaakha, Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, and Saamy, came out in Kollywood.
Furthermore, he mentioned that he has an interesting real-life incident involving a cop and wants to develop a script from it. He clarified that it would not be an LCU movie but a standalone film if it materializes.
Following this revelation, netizens responded that it would be interesting to watch if it happens, as Lokesh Kanagaraj has so far delivered some of Kollywood’s best gangsters and secret agents, but not a definitive cop. Therefore, they believe that if it happens, it will be a different kind of cop movie in Kollywood.
However, with his upcoming line-ups, Lokesh Kanagaraj is almost booked for the next 3-4 years. It remains to be seen whether the cop movie will happen in the future, and if it materializes, which actor will play Lokesh Kanagaraj’s stunning cop.
