Coolie OTT Rights: Netflix Or Prime Video?

Rumours about Coolie being bagged by Netflix or Prime is being circulated on social media but this is not confirmed yet. There is no official announcement for the OTT rights of Coolie and whichever platform acquires it, it will be a big win.

Previously, there were multiple posts about the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial being bought by Prime Video for 150 crores. But now there are more rumours about Netflix opting to buy the rights for both Coolie and Jailer 2 for 350 crores.

However there is no reason to believe these numbers yet. Lokesh Kanagaraj’s movies like ‘Vikram’ and ‘Kaithi’ are streaming on platforms like SonyLIV or Jio Hotstar. While Rajinikanth’s last two movies ‘Vettaiyan’ and ‘Jailer’ are both streaming on Prime Video.

Considering the hype that ‘Coolie’ has created, OTT biggies like Prime Video and Netflix will of course have to go through a rough race to get the movie and SonyLIV or Jio Hotstar will not probably get a chance.

There is Aamir Khan and Soubin Shahir in Coolie and a few actors from other industries as well and it is going to pull audiences throughout the country. If one of the two platform manages to get the rights, it will be catapulted a lot further than the other one.
