Dhanush’s Crazy Project: AR Rahman Comes On Board

Dhanush is returning to Hindi cinema following a break of almost four years. It will mark his collaboration with AR Rahman and Aanand L Rai after delivering some amazing tracks in Raanjhanaa and Atrangi Re.

The new project is titled Tere Ishk Mein and the main premise will be set in Rishikesh. It is supposed to bring a completely new experience for the audience considering that the music is expected to match the story and the surroundings where it would be set.

In an interview, Aanand said that Tere Ishk Mein will be different compared to Raanjhanaa. He said that the plot would be new, adding that although it is not a new form of Raanjhanaa, the film would be hidden in the story of the upcoming project.

Bollywood has always believed that good stories will attract huge crowds irrespective of the actor being featured in the lead. This was one of the things that contributed to the success of Raanjhanaa.

Although Raanjhanaa was a big hit and Dhanush then appeared in another film, Shamitabh, he is yet to establish himself as a popular face among the North audience compared to other stars such as Allu Arjun.

Hindi audiences are hardly interested in watching Dhanush on the big screen. Even the dubbed versions of his films Captain Miller and Raayan were also not able to pull the viewers to the big screen.

It remains to be seen if AR Rahman’s music and a decent storyline can help Tere Ishk Mein to become a blockbuster. Notably, a release date is yet to be confirmed.
