The trailer of the Tamil web series Exam has been released and is trending online. The series stars Dushara Vijayan and Aditi Balan in lead roles. It is directed by A Sarkunam.
The project has gained attention as it is backed by Pushkar-Gayathri. The duo earlier delivered successful OTT shows like Suzhal and Vadhandhi. Both shows are still considered among the best in the Tamil OTT space.
After the trailer release, audience reactions have been mixed. Many viewers feel the concept looks fresh and interesting. However, some believe the trailer lacks impact and appears flat in terms of editing and presentation.
Despite this response, there is still hope around the project. Director A Sarkunam is a National Award-winning filmmaker. Viewers expect the series to deliver a strong narrative even if the trailer feels average.
Exam is a seven-episode suspense drama. It will stream on Amazon Prime Video from May 15. The series will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
It remains to be seen whether Exam can meet audience expectations. The key question is whether it can match the success of Pushkar and Gayathri’s earlier OTT ventures.
