Cult director Gautham Vasudev Menon’s recent comments have gone viral in Tamil Nadu and on social media. Surprisingly, he didn’t speak about his films, actors, or actresses, but about his struggles in the industry.
His statement, “No one supports you when you need it most,” has sparked widespread discussions.
Gautham Menon’s career as a director is currently facing challenges. His attempts to release films are often hindered by various issues.
In a recent interview, he opened up about the struggles he faced, expressing frustration and disappointment. He revealed, “It’s painful to say this, but no one in the industry has been there to help me. It’s hard to believe, but it’s the truth.”
One of his major setbacks involves the release of Dhruva Natchathiram, starring Vikram. Despite completing the film seven years ago, financial hurdles have kept it from hitting the screens.
Gautham shared that no one in the industry showed concern or interest in resolving the issues.
Only actor Dhanush and director Lingusamy inquired about the movie’s problems and tried to help. He even approached several studios, but none showed interest in supporting the film’s release.
Emotionally, Gautham said, “I am surviving because audiences still want to see my films.” His candid statements highlight the isolation and challenges filmmakers face in the industry, even after delivering iconic movies.
Fans and well-wishers are now hoping for the release of Dhruva Natchathiram to revive his career.
