After the massive success of Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1, the film continues its strong run at the box office. Even the Tamil dubbed version is performing exceptionally well in Tamil Nadu.
Audiences have praised Rishab Shetty for his powerful storytelling, breathtaking visuals, and impressive VFX. The film’s technical quality and emotional depth have set a new benchmark for regional cinema.
Following this success, social media users have started comparing Kantara: Chapter 1 with Suriya’s Kanguva. Some fans argue that if Kanguva had been directed by a stronger filmmaker, it could have achieved similar blockbuster status.
They believe that Kanguva had outstanding visuals and a strong technical base but suffered from a weak plot. Many point out that the team carried out nationwide promotions, building major pre-release hype much like Kantara: Chapter 1.
However, others on social media disagree. They claim that Kanguva doesn’t come close to Kantara: Chapter 1 and call the comparison unfair. Some even trolled Suriya fans for making the connection at all.
The debate around both films is now trending online, with fans passionately defending their favourites and sharing contrasting opinions across platforms.
