Ghajini Vibes, Thuppakki Action: Result Darbar?

Following the blockbuster success of Amaran, Sivakarthikeyan’s next release is Madharasi, directed by AR Murugadoss. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on September 5. In a recent interview, Murugadoss revealed that Madharasi’s screenplay will resemble Ghajini, while the action will echo Thuppakki.

The director stated that this combination was what he envisioned and has successfully achieved with the film. His remarks have since gone viral, sparking fan reactions and media chatter across social platforms, especially among Sivakarthikeyan’s followers.

Fans quickly pointed out that Ghajini was a career-defining moment for Suriya, and Thuppakki catapulted Vijay into the big league. This led to widespread optimism that Madharasi could become a similar breakthrough for Sivakarthikeyan and help him reach the top tier of Kollywood actors.

However, not everyone shares the enthusiasm. Some netizens remarked that AR Murugadoss has been losing his touch in recent years, citing Sikandar as proof. With relatively low buzz surrounding Madharasi, critics believe Murugadoss may just be banking on nostalgia by name-dropping his past hits.

They even warned that if the film doesn’t perform, the “Ghajini meets Thuppakki” quote could become meme material. Despite the mixed opinions, all eyes are on Madharasi to see if it can truly meet the expectations and become a blockbuster when it releases on September 5.
