Coolie Overhype? Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Risky Promise

Rajinikanth’s most anticipated pan-Indian movie Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 14th. As anticipation builds, Lokesh’s recent interviews have gone viral, especially one bold statement that has caught the attention of fans and media alike.

Lokesh Kanagaraj confidently said that Coolie will be “worth every penny” audiences spend to watch it in theaters. This remark has been widely celebrated by Rajinikanth fans, who believe Lokesh’s words signal another potential blockbuster in the making.

Supporters are pointing out how similar confidence was shown by Lokesh during the pre-release stages of Kaithi and Vikram, both of which became massive hits. Many now believe that Coolie will follow in the same path and elevate Rajinikanth’s dominance once again at the box office.

On the other hand, some critics feel the expectations around Coolie are getting dangerously high. They argue that Lokesh Kanagaraj’s statement, while bold, adds more pressure. If the film fails to deliver, such confident promises might turn into material for online trolling and memes.

Still, the excitement is undeniable. Whether Coolie lives up to the promise and becomes the next big pan-Indian blockbuster will be revealed when it hits theaters on August 14th.
