Big Star’s Cameo? Young Rajinikanth Role in Coolie

Rajinikanth’s much-awaited film Coolie featuring Nagarjuna, Aamir Khan, Upendra and Soubin Shahir in key roles is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and will release worldwide on August 14. For weeks social media buzzed with claims that Sivakarthikeyan would make a cameo appearance in the film.

Some Kollywood trackers even suggested after the trailer that Sivakarthikeyan might play a younger Rajinikanth in flashback scenes. However insiders have clarified that he is not part of any cameo role and the rumours are completely baseless.

Several netizens reacted by saying it is better this way as playing a younger Rajinikanth might have affected the essence of the film. They also felt that if he kept doing such appearances he might be labelled a Cameo Star, especially after his brief role in Vijay’s GOAT.

Fans believe repeating cameo roles could dilute his image. Still, since Coolie is a Lokesh Kanagaraj film known for surprise elements, many wonder if a major star will appear in a powerful cameo when it hits theatres on August 14.
