Suriya Exposes Karthi’s Film!

Meiyazhagan starring Karthi and Aravind Swami in the lead, directed by C Prem Kumar, who was recognized for his debut movie 96, and produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment.

This movie was released in theatres on September 27th and acquired positive responses from the audiences and critics.

Despite positive responses, as per reports, Meiyazhagan just ended as a poor run in its theatrical run and not up to the mark. But after its OTT release on October 25th, this movie has been celebrated by the audiences.

In this scenario, as a part of Kanguva’s promotion, Suriya is giving interviews to YouTube channels. In one of the interviews, the anchor of the show asked Suriya that despite Meiyazhagan’s positive responses, it just ended up as an average one in the theatrical run. What are his views on it?

For this, Suriya has responded that he is happy to produce such a gem of a movie that deals with core human emotions, and he produced Meiyazhagan to create an art and not for collection.

Also, he mentioned that, end of the day, I’m the producer, and I know whether Meiyazhagan was a theatrical hit or not, and it has given me almost 25% of the profit when I just expected 10% of the profit before the release.

It clearly showcases that Meiyazhagan is a profitable venture for the production house, and the producer Suriya has confirmed it. Also, he puts a full stop to Meiyazhagan disaster speculations.
