Suriya’s Retro: Good Teasers Don’t Mean Good Films

Suriya’s next movie with Karthik Subbaraj has huge expectations among audiences, and today the title reveal teaser of this movie was released and received positive responses from the audience.

Initially, there was a huge buzz that this movie’s title was going to be either Johnny or Cult, but Karthik Subbaraj surprised the audience with a new title, which is Retro.

The title teaser of the Retro movie opens with a beautiful love scene between Suriya and Pooja Hegde and ends with the classic retro gangster portions of Suriya.

The Retro movie is Karthik Subbaraj’s experimental one, as he has not previously directed a movie in the romantic genre, but this movie is a romantic action genre. Even though it’s a strong zone for Suriya, whether it works for Karthik Subbaraj is a big question mark.

The Retro teaser is receiving super positive responses from the audience, and many people on social media are commenting that this is how a director should present Suriya, and the background scores of Santhosh Narayanan are stunning.

Many movies have great teasers, but the movies ended up as flop ventures. Let us hope Karthik Subbaraj won’t disappoint because Suriya can’t afford another flop after Kanguva.
