Suriya’s most anticipated Retro film, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, was released in theaters on May 1st and has received mixed responses from audiences.
Many expected that Suriya would make a comeback with this Retro film, but it didn’t meet expectations, and the box office collections also dipped after the first day.
Now, according to reports, Suriya’s 45th movie, directed by RJ Balaji, is in the final stages of shooting, and the team is aiming for a Diwali release.
Suriya 45 is said to be a devotional film with a rural backdrop, so it is expected that it would connect well with family audiences. Trade experts also suggest that a Diwali release will help the film achieve significant box-office success.
However, Suriya is striving to deliver theatrical success, as none of his movies in the last 10 years have achieved it. Even his most anticipated, recently released Retro film is heading towards a theatrical failure.
It remains to be seen whether Suriya 45 secures the Diwali release date and becomes a blockbuster success, providing Suriya with his much-needed breakthrough in his acting career.
