Feb BO: Ajith 300-cr Target, Dhanush’s Challenge

February is set to be an exciting month for Kollywood audiences, with the much-anticipated biggie Vidaamuyarchi and three exciting medium-budget films lined up for release.

The first major Kollywood release of the year is Ajith Kumar’s Vidaamuyarchi, directed by Magizh Thirumeni, which is all set to hit the screens on February 6. This film carries high expectations, and Ajith Kumar fans are eager to see their idol on the big screen after two years.

We have to see if Vidaamuyarchi can collect a 300-crore worldwide gross and emerge as the biggest success for Ajith. When a flop Vijay film like GOAT is doing 400 crores, Ajith should definitely aim for at least 300 crores.

Apart from Vidaamuyarchi, Dhanush’s directorial film Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam and Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon are set to clash on February 21.

Both films have generated decent buzz among audiences. Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam marks Dhanush’s third directorial venture after Power Paandi and Rayan, while Dragon sees Pradeep Ranganathan returning as an actor after the blockbuster success of Love Today in 2022.

Another interesting release this month is Aadhi Pinisetty’s horror film Sabdham, directed by Arivazhagan. The duo previously delivered the gripping horror thriller Eeram in 2009, and Sabdham marks their second collaboration after 16 years.

Additionally, the Tamil-dubbed version of Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s Thandel is set to release in Tamil Nadu on February 7.

It remains to be seen which of these films will create box office wonders and emerge as successful ventures in the coming weeks.
