Thangalaan on OTT: Second Chance for Vikram?

Vikram’s Thangalaan, directed by Pa Ranjith, was released in theatres on August 15th and received mixed reviews. Due to mixed reviews, Thangalaan ended up as a flop venture at the box office.

After the theatrical run, Thangalaan’s OTT release was delayed due to lots of final issues and cases, and now, after 3 months, Thangalaan is finally streaming on the Netflix OTT platform from last night in 4 languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Despite mixed responses, many people have appreciated Vikram’s acting performance in the movie, and on social media, audiences commented during its theatrical run that Vikram’s hard work went in vain due to the flat screenplay in the movie.

But now, after the OTT release, many people are sharing positive responses for the movie and mentioning on social media that Thangalaan is the most underrated movie of the year and it’s a world-class movie.

Some people also commented that Vikram has given his heart and soul to the movie, and Pa Ranjith’s unique narration is a major highlight, and the movie did not feel lag like the way it was mentioned during its theatrical run. Looks like Vikram’s hard work is finally paying off, as after the OTT release many people were now appreciating the movie.
