Unni Mukundan’s latest action thriller ‘Marco’ has now been released in theaters and it is being laden with rave reviews by critics and audiences.
Marco is being tagged as the most violent film coming from an Indian film industry, overcoming the hype for violence for ‘Animal’ and ‘Kill’. It is also going to be a Blockbuster success. The movie earned 4.5 crores on 20th December, the first day of release and earned 5 crores on day 2.
The two day gross has put the movie way forward in the list of superhits and ‘Marco’ has put Mohanlal’s upcoming movie ‘Barroz’ in danger.
‘Barroz’ is a big budget film that is directed by and stars Mohanlal but it does not have that much craze among audiences right now. It will be a huge feat for Unni Mukundan if his movie Marco overpowers a film from one of the biggest superstars of Mollywood.
Marco is lauded for its wonderfully choreographed action and a balanced screenplay and Unni Mukundan has performed with amazing conviction. It does not happen very often that a movie from a rising star will be giving tough battle to a superstar’s movie.
