Actor Vishal announced his directorial debut with Magudam on Diwali and shared the second look poster. However, the film has now run into trouble again.
Originally, Ravi Arasu was directing Magudam. Due to creative differences with Vishal, he walked away from the project. Vishal then took charge and began filming the remaining portions himself.
Now, reports claim that the Kollywood Directors’ Association and FEFSI have halted Magudam’s shooting. They have asked Vishal to secure a No Objection Certificate from Ravi Arasu before continuing. This update has spread quickly online.
Many users on social media are criticising Vishal. They say this situation is similar to his earlier film Thupparivalan 2, where director Mysskin left and the film stalled. Fans argue that the issue may not be with the directors but with Vishal’s approach.
Some agree that Vishal stepping in to direct is a bold effort. But they still believe moving ahead without the NOC was a major mistake. They feel Ravi Arasu has full rights to the story and Vishal should have handled the paperwork first.
For now, all eyes are on what happens next. It is unclear if this NOC dispute will turn into a bigger problem or if Vishal will sort it out soon and resume the shoot smoothly.
