The Tamil movie Kaadhal Enbadhu Podhu Udamai, directed by Jayaprakash Radhakrishnan, which is based on lesbian relationships, is all set to release in theatres on February 14th.
Tamil cinema audiences have never witnessed a movie that speaks on bold taboo topics based on lesbian relationships, and Kaadhal Enbadhu Podhu Udamai is going to be the first feature film based on this.
Initially, Vignesh Shivan delivered a bold attempt to express the emotions in lesbian relationships in the Paava Kadhaigal anthology, which is Love Panna Uttranum. For which Kollywood audiences have shared positive Responses and appreciated the director.
Other than this, there weren’t any movies in Kollywood that dealt with such taboo topics. Kaadhal Enbadhu Podhu Udamai starring Lijomol Jose and Rohini has already been screened at the 54th International Film Festival of India, and now it’s going to be released in theatres.
