AI Powered Editing To Be Provided By Google

Google is rolling out AI-powered editing capabilities in Google Photos, which were previously only available to Pixel users and premium customers.

The Magic Editor, Magic Eraser, and Photo Unblur are among the tools in the suite that use machine learning to enhance the composition and quality of photos.

Releasing on May 15, a gradual strategy is anticipated to reach all customers over a few weeks. Chromebook Plus models running ChromeOS version 118+ or devices with at least 3GB RAM are compatible with ChromeOS devices mobile users need to have iOS 15 or Android 8.0 or higher.

Users of non-Pixel devices can now access Google’s editing tools, such as the Magic Editor, albeit they can only save ten images per month unless they have a Premium Google One plan.

This is a calculated decision that will confine some functions to a subscription, but overall it should make high-quality photo editing more widely available. With this change, Google Photos’ value proposition for customers globally is greatly improved.
