Ever since the advent of the 2020s there has been massive development in one particular field of tech, a field which is a Eureka moment for not just this generation of humans but humanity as a whole. This field of interest is Artificial Intelligence or popularly known as AI, and ever since it’s introduction it has refused to stop developing further and further and has reached a stage where it is now almost a household tool.
Pertaining to this, IBM, a global tech innovator released a report in which it measured the percent ratio of big companies including AI as a crucial part of its workforce and to everyone’s surprise, India has topped this list.
The survey, conducted in November of 2023 had a sample size of 8,584 IT professionals in various countries, including the likes of India, China, Japan, US and many more. As per the report, nearly 59 percent of large corporations in India are using AI actively in their businesses, adapting smartly and efficiently to the changing times.
However, AI is not as easy as it sounds and IBM made a special mention that the ongoing challenges in the industry should be paid great consideration. The chief of these challenges as per IBM was hiring employees with the right skill set and and ethical concerns for the justful operation of AI, a set of individuals which as of now are very few in number.
The managing director of IBM India and South Asia, Sandip Patel said that the increase in AI adoption and investments by the Indian enterprises is a good indicator that they are already experiencing the benefits of AI. However, Sandip further added that there is still a significant opportunity to accelerate this development as many businesses are still hesitant to move beyond experimentation and deploy Artificial Intelligence at a large scale.
