The live stream on ISRO’s YouTube channel of the soft landing of the rover broke all the previous records of live viewership on the platform. With 8 million viewers it surpassed the previous record made by Spanish streamer Ibai with 5.6 million live viewers.
Within two hours after the stream began and the rover landed successfully, the video had more than 44 million views. It shows that Indians are interested in stuff related to science and especially our country more than anything else.
Another interesting fact about ISRO’s YouTube channel is that it has only 3.74 million subscribers which means that more than half of the viewers searched for Chandrayan 3 to watch history being made live.
