YouTube Will Now Listen To Your Hums

You might have heard the song at a bus stop or loved the mild tunes of a song in a coffee shop, but the name of it surely escaped your memory, or you just want to know what song it is. Now, YouTube has got your back.

The feature was introduced a long time ago on Google, where you can just hum, and Google will give you some predictions. But this decision will make the whole process more fluent since a good chunk of people use YouTube as their primary music platform.

As of now, YouTube is using a search by song feature that will be able to detect your hums or rough singing or even a recording and tell you what it might be.

The length of the hum or singing has to be more than 3 seconds, and it will then direct you to the video where the song has been featured. That can be a music video or a cover or even user-generated shorts.

Though Google did the job pretty much flawlessly, incorporating it on YouTube will give the users a wider range of content. Though this feature is just available on Android and is currently a testing feature, it will soon launch for Apple users as well.

This will also bring a major change when it comes to searching for content, as YouTube claims it will make it easier for viewers to search for specific content.
