The traveller said the airline’s digital support options did not help. The chat assistant did not respond and the online contact form could not be submitted without a booking reference.

Phone Support Fails to Respond

They tried calling customer service but remained on hold for an hour. This led to extra costs with no representative answering the call.

Blocked Amount May Take Weeks

The passenger’s bank said the blocked €500 may take up to two weeks to be released. This delay left them unable to rebook the urgent flight, which now costs €700.

Traveller Left With No Options

The traveller said they have no alternative funds to secure a new booking. They may have to file a dispute if the charge settles.

Airlines Must Provide Better Support

Situations like this show how important it is for airlines to offer real human support during payment failures. Passengers should not be left without help when money is blocked and bookings fail.
