Amazon Ends Work-from-Home, Upsetting Employees

Amazon employees are currently the most unhappy as CEO Andy Jassy sent an email announcing the cancellation of the work-from-home policy, stating that the company expects all employees to be onsite five days a week.

Jassy said, “When we look back over the last five years, we continue to believe that the advantages of being together in the office are significant.”

Amazon had allowed employees to work from home three days a week for the past year and a half, but management has now decided that it’s not in the company’s best interest.

However, the company still allows remote work in cases of emergency, similar to the policy before the pandemic.

This email has been the most heartbreaking for employees, who have grown accustomed to avoiding the daily grind of packing lunches, dealing with traffic, and rushing to drop their kids off at school before heading to the office. Now, their lives will change dramatically as they have to return to the office every day.
