Amazon’s $9/Month Service: A U.S. Visitor’s Ally!

Amazon has just launched another interesting and very useful service at the cost of $9 per month. Prime members can now avail this new service and have access to virtual doctor care.

Amazon has the ‘One Medical’ platform, which was acquired for $3.9 billion last year. Now, for a $9 fee, users can access basic primary care doctor services through this One Medical platform but virtually.

‘One Medical’ offers 24/7 virtual care  for common issues like cold, fever symptoms and skin issues, and same- or next-day remote or in-person Doctor appointments at One Medical primary care offices.

For virtual care, there is no additional fee, and this $9 per month service covers it. However, for in-person doctor visits at One Medical primary care offices, patients will have to go through their insurance.

This virtual service will be extremely useful for elders or parents visiting the U.S. to temporarily stay with their children. It will come in handy, as doctor visits are very expensive for U.S. visitors, and even though they buy visitors’ insurance, it hardly covers the fees.
