American People Jamming Hindu Pandits

Though America is still influenced by Christianity, it has shown a remarkable spirit of acceptance. It has become a global hub for people of diverse backgrounds, and recent religious and spiritual activities serve as living proof of this. Americans have witnessed the rise of yoga, and now they are embracing ‘Indian Sanskaras’ (rituals).

A viral video is currently spreading like wildfire across the internet, featuring a couple from Virginia. They were seen performing a ‘Namkarana,’ a Vedic ritual, for their twin babies.

This isn’t the first or only instance of Americans adopting Indian rituals, as waiting lists for appointments with Hindu priests are growing longer in America. These rituals extend beyond meditation or naming ceremonies, encompassing wedding ceremonies, baby blessings, Griha Pravesh, and even last rites and cremations.

With the surge in popularity, the schedules of the Pandits or priests are becoming increasingly packed. Even in terms of Havanas and Yajnas, popularity is on the rise as more and more people turn to Vedic rituals to mark significant beginnings.
