American Woman Allegedly Beaten Up By Indian In-Laws

Delhi doesn’t have the best of the reputation when it comes to curbing crime. The cases of crime against women have been a major reason for this ill reputation. An NRI woman has lodged a complaint against her in-laws and alleged that they had beaten her up. The woman who lodged the complaint is from the USA.

The woman, a 30 year old, is married to a man in Delhi. She arrived in India one week ago and within a few days of her arrival, the problems started. She has alleged that her brother-in-law sexually assaulted her just 2-3 days after her arrival. She also alleged that some other family members beat her up.

The police have disclosed the allegations laid by the woman and said the woman has accused her in-laws of sexually assaulting her and beating her up. Following the allegations, an FIR has been registered in the Tilak Nagar police station of West Delhi.

Investigation is under process as per the regulations and further information regarding the case is awaited.
