Only for Views: Viral Frisco Speech Slams Anti-Indian Hate

A young Indian American in Frisco delivered a powerful speech addressing the rising anti Indian sentiment in the area. His words quickly went viral, pushing back against hateful rhetoric that has been spreading across parts of the United States.

At a Frisco City Council meeting on April 7, Sahas Kaul highlighted what he described as a coordinated campaign targeting the Indian American community. He pointed out that repeated speeches appeared scripted and echoed similar conspiracy theories.

Sahas, who has lived in the area for over two decades, clarified that local councils have no authority over immigration laws or visa policies. He questioned why such issues were being raised repeatedly at local civic platforms.

According to him, the intent was not to solve community problems. Instead, it was about creating online content, generating outrage, and gaining attention. He noted that official forums were being used to attract views and followers.

He warned that labelling communities as frauds or invaders has far reaching consequences. Such narratives spread beyond local meetings and influence schools, neighbourhoods, and online spaces, where they can shape harmful attitudes among children.

Sahas also reminded the council that targeting ethnic groups with such claims is not new. These arguments often exaggerate threats while ignoring the contributions made by immigrant communities to the country.

The speech has gained strong support online, especially from the Indian community. It also highlighted that no formal complaints related to immigration fraud have been filed with local authorities in Frisco.

Reactions to the video remain divided. While many praised his clarity and courage, some users continued posting hateful comments, unintentionally reinforcing his concerns. His speech has now sparked wider reflection on the issue.
