Bizarre Story Of Indian Student In CA

Recently, we reported that one Hyderabadi student, Sayyada Lulu Minhaj, who went to the USA for her master’s, is now starving on the streets of Chicago after losing her belongings to a robbery. Her family is seeking help from the Indian government for her safe return to India.

Now a TikTok video has gone viral that shows a student living under a rat-infested, filthy bridge in Toronto’s Scarborough neighborhood due to financial difficulties and homelessness.

He had overextended his budget, paying for a forklift license in hopes of securing a job, but was unsuccessful and evicted from his shared accommodation. The video’s poster and his friend eventually took the student to a homeless shelter in Toronto.

It’s unfortunate that incidents of Indian students becoming homeless and resorting to begging in the US and Canada have surfaced.

Many students view studying in these countries as a dream, and they often plan for their expenses, even for unforeseen events like robberies or financial setbacks. It’s  bizarre that these students, who didn’t have any backup plans, had to resort to begging to meet their basic needs.
