Delta Airlines Blunder Causing Panic Among H-1Bs?

An alleged blunder from a Delta Airlines representative is causing confusion among Indian H-1B holders.

A New Delhi-bound H-1B claims when they called Delta Airlines enquiring about the requirement of a transit visa for a layover in Amsterdam, the representative told them they would need one. However, when the Indian traveler checked on the Netherlands’ official website it said otherwise.

The claim has sparked panic among H1B holders, who already deal with enough visa headaches. One mistake at check-in could mean missing a flight.

Airlines allegedly messing up visa rules is nothing new. Many clueless phone representatives can cause unnecessary stress.

This was backed by a check-in agent, who clarified, “Phone representatives, family members, and booking agents are not trustworthy sources of your travel information. Do your research.”

Always check IATA Travel Centre or TravelDoc Aero for accurate rules. Even better, verify directly with the country’s embassy you are traveling to and avoid last-minute hassles.

Some users even suggested that if your visa situation is complicated, avoid European layovers. Middle Eastern hubs like Dubai and Doha are safer bets.

Delta’s alleged blunder is just another reminder to never blindly trust any airline alone. One wrong answer at check-in can cost you your flight, money, and peace of mind.
