Elon Musk has once again come out to support Donald Trump, claiming that if the Republicans lose the presidential elections his social media platform will go bankrupt.
The X owner is worried that if Kamala Harris comes into power she will impose strict rules on social media which will affect the content on his site and eventually threaten bankruptcy. The Democrats on the other hand believe this is a move to fight misinformation and hate speech on online platforms.
This is not the first time Musk has made such a claim. The Tesla founder has been outspoken about his support for Trump and his economic policies.
The richest man in the world fearing bankruptcy seems like an exaggerated claim with a clear intent to distill fear about the potential financial crisis. Economic policies are a major issue in this year’s elections and this move might swing some votes towards Trump.
