US School’s Grade Mix-Up Sparks F-1 Visa Panic

A US university grade error has pushed an F-1 visa student into a serious legal crisis. The student failed to graduate in December 2025 after a promised grade change never reflected in records. This F-1 visa SEVIS issue now threatens their legal stay in the US.

The Spring term began on January 12, but the student did not enrol in any classes, expecting graduation. DSOs monitor full-time enrolment closely. If you stay unenrolled, your SEVIS record faces immediate revocation.

I-20 Expiry Can Lead to Deportation

When a course is not completed on time, the I-20 must be extended or reissued. After expiry, you get 60 days to extend or transfer. Failure leads to loss of status, possible ICE action, detention, and deportation from the US.
