According to Patel, the group was made to sit on a footpath for hours in freezing weather. Their passports were seized for more than two hours, and they were denied food, water, and toilets for over five hours during the ordeal.

The travelers allege that border officers filmed them and dismissed their valid documents as “wrong” without proper checks. This blatant disregard has sparked outrage, with many Indians demanding accountability and urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi and EAM S Jaishankar to intervene.
