Karthik Naralasetty, originally from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, has built a strong reputation in both technology and social change.
Karthik completed his early education in New Delhi before moving to study at Rutgers University, in the US.
He first gained attention by founding Social Blood which is a platform that uses social media to connect blood donors.
Now, he’s aiming to take his mission further by running for mayor in The Hills, Texas. He hopes to use his experience to benefit the community.
If elected, Karthik would not only be the city’s youngest mayor but also the first mayor of Indian origin which would be a milestone for The Hills and Texas.
However, his campaign hasn’t been easy. He’s faced personal attacks and a challenging environment. He says all these attacks have only fueled his determination to focus on community service and positive change.
Karthik’s campaign focuses on inclusivity, safety, and community spirit. He aims to bring diverse perspectives together and ensure all residents feel valued.
His goal is to preserve The Hills’ unique character while fostering progress in areas like technology and community engagement.
His commitment to safety is deeply personal. After a frightening experience with gun violence near his former home, Karthik moved his family to The Hills in search of a safer environment.
Since then, he’s been an advocate for local safety and community unity, which remain central themes in his mayoral campaign.
From tech innovator to a community-focused leader, Karthik’s journey reflects a dedication to creating a safe, connected, and progressive community.
His campaign aims to bring meaningful change to The Hills as he steps up to run for mayor.
