An Indian-origin US marine veteran is set to create history as he prepares to embark on an unprecedented adventure across Antarctica.

Akshay Nanavati is attempting one of the most insane challenges of skiing 2,800 kilometers across the freezing continent, completely alone and unsupported. For 110 days, he’ll face the coldest, windiest, and harshest conditions on the planet.

He addressed certain myths around such an adventure saying that while dangers are very persistent, modern tools and preparation have made these journeys way safer. The updates of this endeavor are being tracked on his website and Instagram, Fearvana, by his wife, Melissa.

For the 40-year-old man, it isn’t just about physical strength, it is him pushing his limits to live fearlessly in the face of suffering. He has taken the dangers head-on throughout his life, carrying the experience of serving in Iraq as a teenager.

The Indian-American adventurer and author is inspired by explorers like Henry Worsley, who died during a similar attempt. His journey isn’t just about personal achievement, but he wants to inspire his followers to push the boundaries and rise above their fears.
