Sud had a nine-year-long journey at Vimeo and previously gained experience working at Time Warner and Amazon.com.
“Anjali is a highly accomplished executive in the technology and media industry with a passion and track record for strategic disruption and authentic leadership,” said Cheesbrough in announcing her hire.
Tubi, a relatively new branch of Fox, operates alongside their other interests, such as news, sports, and entertainment digital platforms. The Tubi media group was formed in April, creating a new unit within the company.
Tubi began its journey in 2014 and has emerged as one of the top ad-supported streaming services in the USA. Currently, they provide more than 50,000 movies and 200 live channels to scroll through.
Sud’s appointment also highlights the continued Indian dominance in global brands. From Satya Nadella to Shantanu Narayen, Sud joins a long list of Indian CEOs, potentially leaving a legacy of her own.
