The hackers also leaked emails dating from 2010 to 2019. However, no classified government information has been found in the exposed material so far.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation acknowledged the breach on Friday. Officials stated that steps have been taken to reduce potential risks.

The incident gained attention after it was reported on social media platform X. Many users criticised the security lapse and raised concerns over internal safeguards.

Experts pointed out that the use of a personal Gmail account by a senior official increases vulnerability. Several have described the incident as a major cybersecurity failure.

The breach highlights risks even at the highest levels of administration. It shows that top officials are not immune to cyber threats.

At the same time, the development comes amid ongoing geopolitical tensions involving Iran. The situation adds to the broader pressure on the United States.

The incident has also intensified discussions around cybersecurity practices. Calls for stronger digital protection measures are now growing louder.
