What to Watch on OTT

Nolan’s ‘OPPENHEIMER’ Will Make You Feel the Nuclear Blast

If a cinema says, ‘Directed by Christopher Nolan’, it grabs attention, and the expectations skyrocket. From stunning visuals to spellbinding sound, the audience demands an experience. Nolan’s last install ment Tenet wasn’t the biggest hit in the market but it had the Nolanesque attitude and we are promised to see more of that in his new creation.

Now, from the very first day of promotion of Oppenheimer, a good viewing experience is prioritised by the makers. From shooting it with an IMAX 70mm camera to encouraging viewers to have this experience in a PLF screen (premium large format).

Nolan even gave some exclusive interviews to guide the viewers about the importance of the size of the film, the screen, and so on. He expressed, “You rarely get the chance to really talk to moviegoers directly about why you love a particular format and why if they can find an IMAX screen to see the film on, that’s great,” Nolan said. “We put a lot of effort into shooting the film in a way that we can get it out on these large format screens. It is a great way of giving people an experience they can’t possibly get in the home.”

In the later part of that interview, he addressed the fact that he knew about the hype of the movie. “We knew that this had to be the showstopper,” Nolan said. “We’re able to do things with the picture now that before we were really only able to do with sound in terms of an oversize impact for the audience-an almost physical sense of response to the film.”

Now, when it comes to visuals, modern cinema has come a long way. Wes Anderson is practically a painter, Tarantino is a master artist and we have films like Blade Runner 2049 and Dune who can mesmerize you with how beautiful they are. But you can’t remember a movie that was hyped this much because of its visuals.

The partnership between Cillian Murphy and Nolan is a tried and tested one and the expectations are limitless. You can be a part of that experience on July 21st in the theaters.
